About Bob

Bob L. Evans , the Founder of Internet Inventions is a true Silicon Valley entrepreneur, raconteur and original. Bob has combined his technical ingenuity, entrepreneurial ability and teambuilding skills to found successful companies time and again over the past 25 years.

Bob once made CEO of the month on the local Silicon Valley Business TV show. That was during the DOT COM era.

One of the very first dial up internet & cable modem companies was built by Bob and sold to Softnet Systems. That then went on to be called ISPchannel and Softnet moved to the NASDAQ where it hit 1/2 a billion dollar market cap. That was back when a million was really worth a million.

Bob's formidable networking and multitasking abilities are in evidence in the many companies with which he is simultaneously involved. Significantly, Bob's reach extends beyond Silicon Valley to New York's Silicon Alley, the Seattle area and Herzlia, the center of Israel's high-tech sector. Occasionally, sovereign countries pay heed to Bob's advice: he single-handedly wired the nation of Malawi Africa (www.malawi.net) to the Internet.

The most recent success is Fiber Internet Center. Founded in 2001 with Gus Sanchez, it is now one of the largest fiber service providers in California.

Bob's ability to explain complicated technologies and his inimitable style are refreshing. Bob is now 50 and tells it like it is. You can of course choose not to listen. Then again the ostrich approach never stopped a lion from eating well.
